NORD ONE HYPEX AMPLIFIER RANGE OVERVIEW
Nord is an official partner of Hypex Electronics B.V., LEARN MORE ON HYPEX SITE and we have collaborated with them for over 7 years. All our Hypex Amplifiers utilize NCore technology, the latest and most advanced modules from Hypex. We design, build, and sell a wide range of Hypex-based NCore amplifiers directly, including stereo and multichannel amplifiers.
We integrate from the entry-level NCore modules NC52MP, NC122MP, NC252MP, NC502MP. These modules are all-in-one units, equipped with onboard power supplies and input buffers.
Moving up to mid-to-high-end offerings, we have the Hypex NC500 and the latest NCx500, which have delivered significant improvements in sonic performance that were previously thought impossible from a new module. Both the NC500 and the NCx500 feature separate power supplies using the Hypex SMPS1200A700. The new NCx500 differs from the NC500 in that it has an onboard buffer, which we use in our standard amplifier. For ultimate performance, we combine it with our Nord Buffer, utilizing discrete Voltage Regulators and Op Amps. This approach offers superior performance and the flexibility to easily upgrade each section of the amplifier.
Finally, the NC1200 module also uses a separate Power Supply. Although our base NC1200 amps use the onboard buffer, superior audiophile performance is achieved when specifying our Nord Buffer.
